Sinking feeling	[Oct. 11th, 2009\|01:46 pm]
September 25 Friday Restday Friday. Friday afternoon, Ari and i went to dinner and was supposed to watch "Im My Life" later that night. However, traffic was horrendous that night and i remember falling asleep past Eastwood and waking up 30 minutes later na nasa tapat pa lang kami ng Ateneo. When we went home later that night, i had a headache, he had one too. I didnt even bring him to his car, tuloy tuloy na ako sa kwarto ko to sleep only to find out later that night that he slept in the car and my parents saw him sleeping in the car when they arrived home. The horror of what could have been if he slept longer there. September 26 Saturday Rain has been nonstop for several hours. I could hear my mom checking on the neighbors who were near the creek. So far they were still okay, nothing to worry about. When i went down to the living room, i saw my sister and her husband on their way out to check on his family in the other street. My dad looked relaxed, thinking that the other side of the village may get flooded but our house will be safe.When it flooded in Riverside a few years aog, it just reached our sidewalk. The maids were already preparing lunch and they were preparing more than what we usually consume because we were expecting people would seek refuge in our house. Or garage was looking like a parking lot since some neighbors had asked to park their cars there. My brother in law's family had already arrived and were all wet since their was water already in their house and they had to rush out the house to get into the car. I was pretty laxed about it too, thinking that nothings going to happen to our property.All i was thinking of was neighbor bonding time!Hehehe! I was even posting Facebook status messages from time to time and checking on other people on FB. I was also texting my agents that we still need to go to work since there was no announcement yet and i felt that i was still capable to go to work so i was still thinking of Sat shift. Then after lunch the maid announced that water had come in the dirty kitchen already. That made it look serious to me. Then the electricity died I looked out and true enough there was water already in the garage. All i remember at that point was we were bringing some things up already. Then i was hearing water splashing in the living room already. That was the point i knew it was going to be a long night. When i went down the stairs to help out the wet people bring the dry things up, i couldnt help but be sad that the house was slowly starting to get submerged in water. I never went down to the living room after that. There were 16 people in the house not including the helpers, 2 babies to think of, buti na lang di naubusan ng milk. Then there were additional 3 people, our neighbors, whose house was a bungalow was rescued by BIL's bro. They were too scared to attempt to get out of the house and the parents were not around, good thing BIL's bro came to rescue when BIL couldnt. My brother in law, his first time getting flooded. was panicking. He was texting everyone for help, although we were all safe upstairs, we could see the water rising per step and i knew he was worried about his baby and his cousin. Of course, even if we had a lot of people to rely on, this was a nationwide calamity and the help that we were asking for could be delayed. To round things up, the first night was a very long night. We were rejoicing when the rain stopped We cried when the rain started to pour We were hungry.Walang food sa upstairs pantry and my sisters side of the house had biscuits. We had chocolate biscuits for the night. Those biscuits i dont really want to see for a while. We were saving phone batteries and i only had time to text people that work was cancelled and texted my boss about my situation. We slept in just two rooms. My sisters side of the house and the masters bedroom where there was my parents bed, the sofa bed and the mattress that the maids salvaged from the guest room. Me, my sister, brother in law and brother in laws brother shared the mattress while BIL's sisters were on the sofa bed.On the masters bed was the parents, Cara, and Klau. We didnt get much sleep though, we were just laying down when our bodies couldnt holp up anymore. Second Day in the next blog entry

Ok so here's the update As Jelsaid, para lang facebook statusupdates yung last post ko, ganun na nga...yun lang some of those i couldnt expound coz the boss is an FB friend and even if my boss is kewl like dut, mabuti na yung maingat. I've been pretty mych wayward at work lately and looking very much like i dont give a damn anymore. It all started with the team reshuffle and having my team assigned to the special project Special project=experiment=tapunan ng bottom performers. So okay the first month was okay coz in MAy all they took was calls for the special projectand it was easier. And of course it doesnt hurt na fixed yung schedule namin. June came in...client changed QA goal from 80% to 90%, my agents went back to regular calls, and along with that balik ang paramihan ng koleksyon...anakngpating!kaya nga bottom performers tong mga to dahil sa QA at sa deals eh...oh my gash! houston we have a problem! then my uncle died. i rarely finished anything during those three weeks and i wasnt getting any sleep as well. for the month of june i had three absences and 4 days off i wasnt able to do much coaching pero buti na lang nasalba pa ng mga agents ko sarili nila then july came in, PIP process will begin for the agents who wont hit the metric for july yari na tayo!everyday yung pwet ko nasa gilid ng upuan.tuwing may bagsak kumukunot ang noo ko,naiiyak ako, iniisip ko na ang paper trail ko by the first week of august. tapos may canada trip pa ako na iniisip, alam ko naman na di ako papayagan ng more than one week na leave, especially with the status of my agents, but as every day passes im tempted to go and tempted to resign...up until a few days ago... i'vemade some realizations the past few days. why do i want to leave when im really happy with my job, part lang ng trabaho to. atsaka wala naman permanente sa mga changes sa work it changes from time to time and i should be challenged to turn things around for these people. like yung isang agent, laging bagsak yun sa QA pero nung nalipat sa akin laging top performer. and given i can afford the trip to canada, and i resign, ano naman gagawin ko after sanay na naman kaming magpipinsan na laging may absent. and my supervisor is the best, she is the only one who can motivate me to work and go ahead kahit super down na ako nagka crying moments pa kami 2 weeks ago and the talk we had earlier today nailed it, i've been looking at the negative things the past few months, i didnt realize ang daming positive din na nangyayari. gosh im gonna miss her when she gives birth. i know right now masaya ako but i know in the near future pasaway na naman ako but this time around...im walking the straight line again, di muna ako pariwara

No matter how many social networking sites i go to , i always go back to livejournal. This is the only place where i can vent out and just lock it for you guys to see. Its hard when your mom and your boss is on facebook, gotta watch what you say. Massive update coming up!!! But just to give a gist since my last update. My lola's okay...thank God!She took my tito's death hard but it didnt make her lose her will to live, i think she even wants to go back to travelling again. Tempted to go to Canada and attend my cousins wedding Plans thwarted, scared to be gone for so long, i might go back to work with no team, hehehe! UAAP season! Got sick last week! Laters!!!

Feeling his presence	[Jun. 13th, 2009\|09:52 am]
Its been 13 days since my uncle passed away. He's had his service back in Vegas and we felt so proud that a lot of people cared for him. Family members, people from work and just complete strangers whose lives he touched in one way or another. We miss him dearly but we just gotta accept his fate. He would be on his way back to the Philippines next week, but his spirit has reached the Philippines eeven before his body has. We have been feeling his presence in the house for the past days. My dad seeing his figure walk in the house but not exactly showing his face Cara calling out his name, even though the first and last time they met was when she was a month old and she only saw him in pictures while we were doing his AVP. Our doors that we never get to close na super pantay, biglang nagpantay the other day The neighborhood painter hearing his voice wake him up just like he used to do when he's over here. Especially on his 9th day his presence was so strong that i got super scared. Its not that i was afraid to see him, di lang siguro talaga kakayanin ng powers ko. I guess its also because di pa sya makapagparamdam kaila lola kasi di pa alam ni lola. Help us tell her?Anyone?Hehehehe

Gone Too Soon	[Jun. 5th, 2009\|07:55 am]
What a way to start the month. I was looking forward to a month of children's parties and my parents wedding anniversary. I didnt know that the month will start with a death in the family. My uncle, Rogel,, my dad's brother the youngest in the family of 6, passed away in Las Vegas on June 1st. He was supposed to celebrate his 49th birthday on June 24th and was already scheduled to fly home to the Philippines on June 20th. Who could have known that on June 1st, his day off from his job at the local Albertson's in Vegas, he would have a massive heart attack on the way to the local Wal-mart. He called his Ate, my Tita, the tita i lived with when i was staying in Vegas, saying that he was feeling weak he didnt know he was having a heart attack then. She instructed him to go in Walmart and rest. Witnesses said he was almost on his knees when he went in the store, and it was the other people who had to call 911. He was DOA by the time they got to the hospital. He is a special member of the family, if you look at him he doesnt look it, only the speech defect and his childlike ways are the only tell tale signs. In this time of grief, im overcome with worry about my dad My dad was like his second father. he lived with us for a long time until he was finally granted a visa to the states. He was close to my mom and he spoiled me when i was in the States. I was looking forward to his 1st ever grand birthday party when he came home. Now im just anxious to have them decide if he will be flown here or not. They havent told my Lola yet and we dont know how to. The current weather just makes it more depressing for us. "This is the ultimate game of Survivor," Ethan told the mag, "and there's really only one outcome, and that's to win. There's no other option." Today is the 10th anniversary of my high school graduation. Today i was supposed to join my batchmates at a get together in Starbucks Corinthian Hills. Today i have Saturday shift from 9 to 1, and regardless of that schedule i still wanted to go to the meet up. But then again, when you plan things, you tend to change them at the last minute. Potah!Its the time of the month!For some people that is, yung akin kasi depende sa mood nya!hehehe! 5 days from now i will have to go through an ultrasound to check if there is anything irregular in my reproductive system. Sana naman wala. Potah!Im scared!

1. I used to play the piano but after my first recital i stopped and asked the teacher to stop going to the house. 2. I only was able to play 2 complete pieces. First Waltz and Planting Rice...i can only remember the first two notes of First Waltz now. 3. Back in 1Kinder, i used to go to ballet classes. SAme as the fate of my piano career, i stopped going after my recitals. 4. I have an eye condition called Keratoconus. I used to wear hard contacts but after several eye irritations which were caused by wearing and not wearing contacts, i have shifted to glasses which are hella thick! 5. I never went to regular university. I considered my campus Megamall since my school was located there. 6. I've gotten into trouble a couple of times inside Megamall. No shoplifting though. Just made the escalator stop by kicking the sides of it. Remember this She? We thought we were the only ones on it only to find out the manager was about to step on the escalator. Ran from the Globe office to Informatics in the other building. 7. I went to a community college in Vegas for one summer term and one semester but never came back after going home for Christmas break. 8. I am one clumsy person. Once fell on the stairs of the St. Francis campus on the way to the car. Buti na lang nakaharang yung kotse hinde kita ng buong Julia Vargas! 9. I rarely drink and the few times that i drink, 48 years bago maubos ang drink ko. 10. I dont smoke but im a big time recipient of second hand smoke :P 11. I used to eat only Payless, hotdog and ma-ling. Which i think explains why i developed so many allergies. 12. I used to have shots everyweek for my immune system to be in tip top shape. 13. I once had an operation to cut the skin under my tongue, since it was attached to the tongue and i couldnt stick out my tongue properly. 14. Im a Sims addict!I so wanted to get Sims2 but i thought it was so expensive even if i had a job and i want to get Sims3 as well, thing is i dont think the laptop has enough space. 15. To replace the Sims addiction, i love playing Time Management games on Shockwave and BigFishgames.com. 16. Im on Facebook, Friendster and Multiply. I have Myspace as well but i never log in there anymore. 17. I love writing stories, novels and scripts. Unfortunately i never get around to finishing it. 18. Im a true blue fangirl. Gwapings started it and then moved on to the UMD then moved on to F4! But i think im the tamest of them all fangirls. 19. And yes, when i say fangirls im talking about those wonderful girls i met due to F4! 20, I suck at drawing. Once i draw a person kneeling in front of his loved one and my classmates thought it was a manok! 21. Back in HS, there was some people who thought i was suplada, which i actually am not. I was actually shy back in HS and wouldnt talk to you or say hi to you outside of campus if you didnt do the first move. 22. I've been in a relationship for 3 years and 3 months. The longest i've ever been in 23. I used to think i may marry late or not end up getting married at all. I have a lot of hangups when it comes to this part of life. 24.But i think my point of view is starting to change...i dont know...who wants to grow old alone anyway. 25. I want my first baby to be a boy...para maiba naman :P

I was able to catch parts of the Grammy awards earlier this morning. I liked The Jonas Brothers and Stevie Wonders performance and also the Justin Timberlake/Al Green/Keith Urban performance. Just too bad i missed the rap stars performance. And i was wondering where the hell Chris Brown and Rihanna were... and then when i got back from Megamall...i saw the posts on PerezHilton, Dlisted, and Just Jared...WTF!!!! Could it have really been Rihanna that Chris beat up? E di ba mas malaki si Rihanna sa kanya??? Tapos naloka pa ako sa news about Usher. Dapat pala andun sya sa party for Clive Davis but he had to fly to Brazil kasi his wife's nip/tuck procedure went wrong. Ano ba yan!Bakit sa Brazil pa? Kaloka mga balita ngayon.

I got home around 1:30 and found out the maids didnt cook since the other members of the family were in Shangrila. So i called 8-MCDO to buy my lunch and gave me the 35-45 minute window time. Okay fine, kagabi nga, 1 hour yung Kitaro, i can wait. I asked where they were getting the stuff from, they said it was the Amang Rodriguez branch...okay fine...much better kung Ever but whatever...as long as they're on time. 2:00 they call, saying that the order was rerouted from the Amang Rodriguez branch to the Ever Ortigas branch, 20 minutes pa daw.Thats where the hungry mad person snapped. Mcdo agent: Ma'am okay lang po bang ma-late yung order nyo? Tin: Gaano ka-late? Mcdo agent: Mga 20 minutes po. Tin: Saang Ever ba manggagaling yan?( by this time, i was already sitting up on my bed and i was trying to suppress my voice from raising one decibel) Mcdo Agent: Sa Ever Ortigas po Tin: Bakit ganun katagal? Mcdo agent: Kasi po gagawin pa po. Syempre i wont buy that excuse, wala pa bang gawa?Di ba? Tin: Wala pa bang gawa? Mcdo agent: Titingnan ko po Ummm...mga 10 to 16 minutes na lang po!(Makuntento ako sa 4 mins!) Tin: Alam mo Miss, isang talon lang bahay na namin, so its not acceptable na ma-late sya for 20 minutes Mcdo agent: Sige po. Oh gosh!I wish lang di nila duraan yung pagkain ko! 2:09 na wala pang nagdodoorbell!!!

When you feel that you're in a thankless job, not compensated enough and have a colleague/coworker/subordinate who you just want to strangle because she's ruined everything for you and your team, something will always come up that will make you feel better about the situation and make you feel that your efforts and your teams efforts have been greatly appreciated.

Without realizing that he had already disclosed information the TL's were still uncertain about, our Account Manager just confirmed the inevitable. After 3 years and 7 months,next week i will no longer do the daily trip to Makati and be a constant fixture in RCBC Plaza.Wahhhhh!!!!Sad! Of course, the move will be an advantage to me since the site we are relocating to is 10 minutes away from home.But its still kind of bittersweet. I'll be missing the Lung Center in RCBC.Nahhh i dont smoke but its just easy for us TL's to look for agents who are known to be smokers kasi malamang andun lang sila lahat nagkukumpulan. I'll miss the RCBC Podium. Without the RCBC food court, tatlong taon ako nagtiis sa concessionaire food sa office. I'll miss the pasaway security guards at the office.Hinde naman nanghuhuli yun ng mga kumakain sa floor.Sa UB, alert to the max ang mga bruho!Palibhasa andun lahat ng boss! Never ko ng makakasalubong si prec_xv sa umaga habang bangag pa ako! What im worried about is the security around the Ubionbank/Metrowalk area. Since the other teams have been there for a month already, 3 of them have been mugged already. Of course Makati is not exactly crime free but in a span of one month 3 is too much! Hello Pasig Police!!!

Termination request for one of my agents forwarded to HR! Hay pasaway na bata! Though im sure that still going to go through so much churva and it will just end up in a commitment period or a forced resignation, its still hatd for me to forward those papers. But its part of my job! I just couldnt believe i had to do it on the first work day of 2009! Tapos eto pa yung isang pala-absent, delikado na rin! Ang dami daming walang trabaho, sila na may trabaho they take it for granted. tsk tsk tsk

Let me try something new here. I'll make an effort to go back to my normal blogging life. Posting about anything. Even if its not about me. So where do we start? Oh yeah...if you're a facebook friend you should have seen my last two status updates. My stomach is going haywire for chrissakes! I dont know if it was just plain katakawan New Years Eve at the office or it was food poisoning. I threw up everything i ate from New Years Eve dinner to the office treat since my team was the only one complete for NYE shift. As in Jan 2 na ako uli kumain. Then nag-absent yung isang agent ko jan 2 shift kasi LBM tapos yung isa masama pakiramdam! Hello Yellow Cab!!! Ever heard of alkaline water? IT works wonders! Bumili ako ng Sierra Madre(Hello Boy and KRis!) kasi sabi ng mom ko kailangan daw alkaline water na iniinom namin, so bili naman ako ng apat na bote, and finished two bottles at the office. The past two days everytime i try to eat sakit agad tiyan ko but it all faded when i drank that water! AS in!Magic! *** Was shocked when i logged in to the net after work today and saw that John Travolta's son died while they were vacationing in the Bahamas. I heard before he was autistic, but ngayon ko lang nalaman na he had Kawazaki disease Isnt that the illness that BSB Brian Littrel's son has! Ohhh!Poor Kid!

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas

I dont know if its just because im older now, but i have just started to feel the holiday spirit.Compared to before na pagpasok ng ber months, feel ko na, ngayon medyo late.

Its just that a lot of good news have started to pour in, making me feel its Christmas and im suddenly looking forward to Christmas.

Never mind na all time high ang absenteeism ko!Kebs na!Lahat naman yata pag ganitong season.

The move to Unionbank...after 3 years, we're leaving RCBC Tower and all the memories of the 18th, 19th and 20th floor. Kinda abrupt, kinda blindside especially with the official announcement coming in Friday shift and the first two teams moving in on Monday. San ka pa?Speedy lipat bahay!Though its the early stage teams first, tapos in three weeks pa ang late stage teams,and a lot of people have not been positive about it, syempre sa akin partida!tipid gas!hehehe!kaso di na ako makakatulog ng matagal sa kotse!

Goodbye RCBC and the food court, hello UBK and Metrowalk!Potah!Ang hirap hanapin ng agent pag OB!

Im on leave beginning April 26 to 30, 5 day leave plus the 24th and the 25th, wala akong karapatang ma-late sa 31!!!!

Hello HK and Disneyland!Its nice to see you again!

Hmmm...kailangan na magbihis and i need to shop for stuff to bring to HK

Ok so i've been slacking off on the blogging on lj!I've been busy with facebook and multiply. So whats been up with me? My niece's first birthday! That happened last week and it was absolutely fun! My niece was so excited about her party that she refused to sleep.11:30 na buhay pa. And the night after, nag insist pa iopen yung lights sa garden!Feeling nya birthday pa rin nya. Work Some tension between 2 of my agents. So effin frustrated with what transpired Scared to have one of them axed at christmas time. But its all up to HR now. Im hands off now. Love Just celebrated my 3rd year anniv with my boyfriend. Watched Bolt and had dinner at KFC in Eastwood. Thats about it! Lookin forward to my HK vacation after Christmas!

It sucks to be sick	[Nov. 2nd, 2008\|06:51 pm]
I've been sick the past few day, i've been coughing like crazy and it seems like my bronchial asthma is back. I dont know if it was just because of the stress of clients coming in and out every week, thats why im feeling feverish also.hehehe. Kasi naman, pagalis ng isa, may darating namang bago, wala na nga atang tao dun sa office sa States! I would think that since i was on up training for late stage, petiks ako ng isang linggo, mapapahinga ako.hinde rin pala.pinroblema pa ako ng warning request for rudeness na ayaw pirmahan ng senior citizen agent ko!grrrr! di na nga ako nakasama sa halloween festivities sa office kasi sobrang wala akong gana magbihis and all. but at least nakabawi na ako sa absenteeism!zero absenteeism the whole week!im so happy!!!di na ako mamatahin nung matandang mama na hinde naman namin nakikita sa opisina!leche sya! yun nga lang since one of the TL's will be out for two weeks as per doctors orders, and since the other half of my team is on training naman next week, i would have to handle half of her team.hayyy buhayyyy!!!kailan ba ang thanksgiving!!!! i couldnt wait for my friday shift to end, as in pagpatak ng 7 am, paalam na ako agad kasi feeling ko babagsak na ako sa station ko.nasa elevated post pa naman ako at nakakahiya pag bumagsak ako!di ako masasalo ni bogs!hehehe! anyway, it sucks pa na jai and klaire are in bora and that means we have to take care of cara, kaya lang di ko naman sya maalagaan kasi baka mahawa sa akin. buti na lang medyo ok na ako ngayon, pwede na uli ako sumama sa masters bedroom with cara, papa,mama and klau!katakot matulog kagabi pagkatapos ko manood ng mmk noh!

Vanness Wu to voice Animax film By Marinel Cruz Philippine Daily Inquirer First Posted 00:09:00 10/27/2008 MANILA, Philippines - Taiwanese-American superstar Vanness Wu of the pop group F4 has agreed to lend his voice to an Animax full-length animated movie based on the script written by Carmelo S.J. Juinio, a Filipino, Inquirer Entertainment learned. “LaMB” is the first-ever animated movie to be produced under the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) and SPE Networks-Asia Joint Production Fund. It will premiere on the Japanese animé TV network Animax across Asia early 2009. Award-winning actress and singer Josie Ho, daughter of casino tycoon Stanley Ho, is also on board as voice actor for the villainess Keiko Suzuki. She will dub the movie in English and Cantonese. Wu will dub in English and Mandarin for the protagonist Jack Griswold, according to a statement sent by Animax to the Inquirer. “LaMB” follows protagonists Jack and Eve’s struggle against planet Cerra’s ‘Lamination’ system of imprisonment, where criminals called ‘LaMBs’ are kept in laminated suits to remain productive but not free members of society. Eve is an ex-scientist convicted of murder during an experiment gone wrong. Jack is a visiting scientist immersing himself in work to get over his wife’s death. Eventually, he gets pulled into the political system of ‘Lamination’ and a romance with Eve ensues. “LaMB” is based on the work that fist-time scriptwriter Juinio submitted to the Animax Pan-Asia scriptwriting contest in Japan last year. He lost to Hayato Takamaga (Japan, “Takane no Jitensha”). Over 3,000 entries were submitted. “It’s great that Animax has asked Vanness, who is popular in Taiwan, to join the project. This will bring in not only animé fans but enthusiasts of Taiwan drama,” Juinio told the Inquirer on Tuesday. This is Wu’s first venture into acting for animation. “I am very excited about my involvement here. This is like reaching out to Asian youths in a big way,” said Wu. “Jack is a very complex character with many facets and strong emotions. I am looking forward to meeting the challenges to bring him to life.” Ho had also worked as voice talent of the Asian versions of the Hollywood animated movies “The Simpsons” (2007) and “Kung Fu Panda” (2008). “Being always on the lookout for edgy and unusual acting roles, I am thrilled to take on the role of Keiko, which offers me room to be creative and expressive,” said Ho. A whopping $6 million is allotted to produce “LaMB.” It will be showcased on “three screen-TV, online and mobile,” a campaign that is expected to run for six months, the statement said.
